Once the QS_ElsstiCube is built user can create dashboards using the Prism BI Studio.
Another option is to take the existing PSM file , open it in the Bi Studio and defined it to work with the exist QS_ElastiCube.
In order this action to work 2 conditions must be met
- The PSM file originally 'wrote' using the QS_ElastiCube.
In order how to define the PSM see the folloinws steps:
- Open the PSM file in the Prism Bi Studio
- click 'Connect QS_ElastiCube'
- If you work on the ElastiCube server go you should see the ElastiCube tables
- If the ElastiCube is on another machine you need to choose it:
- You will get the message of 'Connection Error' - click edit connection
- In the Connect to ElastiCube type your machine , test connectivity and click OK.
Now once the ElastiCube tables can be seen in the data browser window - thebi Studio can retrieve data from the ElastiCube.
The last action is refresh the dashboard:
On the top right of the screen see the ‘green arrow’ – click it -> refresh entire document
Now the PSM is ready to work with the ElastiCube.
