Carlo Bertolino suggested an idea (#1633) · Jun 07, 2017 at 11:00 AM · cloudshellportalplugin
We often jump via RDP on the Execution Servers or on the Qualiserver in order to debug issue.
Most relevant reasons for that are checking the filesystem status (how many disk space is free, cpu consumption,..) and logs (in particular python logs). A couple of time on the Qualiserver in order to check the QualiDB status (it was full).
I suggest to publish on the portal a set of information for any involved component (Qualiserver, ExecutionServer, Qualix,..) for a quick view about the healty of the platform.
About python I suggest to offert on the Portal for each EXS a link to the log path (typically this C:\Program Files (x86)\QualiSystems\TestShell\ExecutionServer\Logs\QsPythonDriverHost) and the possibility to read the logs directly on the browser.
Thx

providing a link from a python process to the correct log (meaning execution server IP/name and the log name) will be super helpful for debugging with distributed executions

Hi Carlo, this are 2 seperate Ideas:
1)Provide monitoring information on Quail's components - this is not something we plan to add in the coming future , there are great monitoring tools that can provide that information relativity with ease
2)Better logging on execution servers for python debugging - This is something we are working to improve and we will consider
