Automation trigger at reservation creation time
We would like an additional workflow, similar to the setup and teardown scripts, but that can run at reservation creation time. In order to integrate with some other tools and stakeholders in our lab regarding future lab reservations and activities, we would like to be able to trigger execution of a custom script at the time a reservation is created, to support more complex and customized decisions for scheduling, conflict resolution and notifications.
We would like the ability to use the outcome of scripted actions to impact whether the reservation is accepted. For example, we have a case where we need to query an external customer facing Salesforce database for other activities scheduled in the proposed reservation timeframe. We would then utilize the return value of the automation script run at reservation creation time to affect whether we proceed with the reservation.
Another example use case is to create additional custom notifications for the future reservation, either in an external calendar (available to a wider user group than our CloudShell instance, like in the customer-facing Salesforce case) or in HipChat, or sent to an email list. We would like the notification actions to be generated at reservation creation time (not just at reservation start time, as is currently the case).
