Leeor Vardi suggested an idea (#4859) · Nov 19, 2019 at 08:27 AM · cloudshellcloudshell portaladministration
Currently, when a future maintenance window is set up by a SysAdmin, users will only be aware of it if they try to reserve a Sandbox that overlaps with the maintenance.
It would make more sense to also add a system wide or by-group notification email to let you know that a maintenance window will occur in a set time/date.
"CloudShell Maintenance will take place at {DATE} {TIME} {TIMEZONE}"
"System maintenance is scheduled between @StartTime@ and @EndTime@. You will not be able to log in to the system during this time." (same message as the maintenance window message set by the admin").
The admin should be able to toggle on/off whether or not this notification will be sent via email.

Hi @Leeor Vardi , you can broadcast a system-wide message at a defined duration prior to the maintenance window when you define a new windows.
Regarding the email notfication will consdier it. Looking forward to the votes
