Sadanand Hegde suggested an idea (#5174) · Jul 27, 2020 at 08:50 PM · blueprintapipdu
Hi,
Please provide a API for renaming blueprints. Sometimes it is required to rename multiple blueprints. Doing this manually in CloudShell portal is tedious and prone to error.
Thanks,
Sadanand

I agree that changing Blueprint names manually in CloudShell is a drag but when the name is updated all associated scheduled jobs get updated to the new Blueprint name. It would be great if the programmatic blueprint rename did the same housekeeping in updating the blueprint names is associated schedule jobs.

Hi Sadanand,
Thanks for submitting your idea. could you give me an example of such a use case? that will help us better scope the feature. how often does it happen?
Sadanand Hegde commented · Aug 03, 2020 at 12:37 PM
This specific one came while customer moved their lab. Their blueprint name contains a string that indicates something specific about NE’s ip address in that lab.
I can also think of this use case when people want to move blueprints from one domain to another. Although this may not be a frequent operation, when it has to be done, a programmatic way could be very handy
Regards,
Sadanand

This capability has been delivered in CloudShell release 2022.1 via API RenameBlueprint.
