Kimo Saper suggested an idea (#5179) · Jul 30, 2020 at 01:25 AM · job schedulingportalreports
Currently, there is only a one-size-fit all solution for reports accessed from completed execution in the Job Scheduling section.
TestShell provides for the ability to customize the report view via template. The report generated by any test is often part of the overall requirements for the Test Plan/Case.
I would like the ability to set a specific report template profile for each job with in a suite, thus ensuring that the report generated in the portal meets requirements of the Test Plan and/or Case.
Note, different test cases may have slightly different reporting needs, thus the need to set it per job, and not just the suite level. Example the suite may include jobs for device level checks, then an integration job, finally and end to end with traffic. Each of these would be different blueprints and have different needs for reporting, especially if there is a traffic generator or other service is included.

Hi Kimo,
Thanks for submitting your idea. We are looking at how to address Testshell reporting in the context of the next iteration of the new job scheduler.

Just to clarify, are you asking about strictly TestShell reports or generally speaking test reporting as an outcome of job scheduling?
Kimo Saper commented · Aug 11, 2020 at 05:10 PM
@Pascal Joly In this context I was talking about being able to assign specific report templates to Jobs when creating Suites inside of Job Scheduling (CloudShell Portal).
I know that when you pull a report from TestShell you can specify the report template.
What I'm looking for is an easy way for management to get the report they need. Since jobs are being ran through the scheduler, I need to have the reports associated with tests in the jobs to have the tailored information that is part of the Test Case requirements generated in the portal. Ultimately this should roll up into InSight reporting.
Training management to go into the CloudShell portal is an order of magnitude easier that TestShell access.

Hi all - Please up the priority on this feature as we have two installations where this is a critical need and want. (Kyrio/Cablelabs and DISA)
thanks!
Chuck
