Debayan Barick suggested an idea (#5507) · Sep 24, 2021 at 10:11 AM · cloudshellautomation
Sandbox Reserve :
1. Cloudshell Terraform Shell will initiate the terraform build deployment
2. Terraform will Deploy the infrastructure (e.g. VPC , Subnet , EC2 ) in AWS
3. The resources created in Terraform State will be created inside cloudshell
4. The Sandbox will present those resources (e.g. VPC , Subnet , EC2 )
Sandbox End:
1. Cloudshell Terraform Shell will initiate the terraform destroy deployment
2. Terraform will Destroy the infrastructure (e.g. VPC , Subnet , EC2 ) in AWS
4. The Sandbox will be ended

Hi @Debayan Barick,
For the execution of the terraform files, you can use the recently published terraform service shell.
This can be used from your orchestration to execute the terraform script on setup and destroy on teardown.
However, what I wanted to ask is for more details about "The resources created in Terraform State will be created inside cloudshell" - what is the use case for that? are you going to interact with these resources in the sandbox? how should it place these resources on the diagram? etc.
When you have a terraform script already, it's often being used for automation purposes, and/or to get the main endpoint available for you, so what is the user flow you had in mind?

Hi Yaniv,
I can show the use case in a call. If you can let me know your available time , we can discuss. I can also show exactly what cloud resources we want provision .
The resources that needs to interact from cloudshell are - ec2 instances (power on , power off , ssh using ssh user/key, Current Status) . For Rest of the resources only static representation will works, no interaction is needed.
